Reflection for the First Sunday of Lent

E-mail Print
On the First Sunday of Lent, the Work of God forces us to face the reality of temptation and sin, but the Word also shows us that victory is possible together with Jesus.  A contrast is set up between the Old Adam and the New Adam.  With that in mind, we set out a journey.  "we" being those who are already baptized but in need of a change for the better and those who are the Catechumens, seeking Baptism on Holy Saturday at the Easter Vigil.  For the forty days of Lent, we make this journey together full of hope.
